Kendra Piscitelli

A native of Stafford, VA,Kendra Piscitelli is the Director of Bands at Chancellor High School. Mrs. Piscitelli received her high school education from Mountain View High School in  Stafford, VA. She received her Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Music Education from James Madison University in 2017 with a focus on Instrumental Music. She is also endorsed to teach Vocal/Choral Music. Prior to joining the Chancellor family, Mrs. Piscitelli taught for 8 years in Page County Public Schools, teaching Band and Choir at Page County HS for three years, Page County Middle School for four years, and General Music at Stanley Elementary School for one year.

Mrs. Piscitelli’s  primary instrument is the clarinet. She has studied privately with Dr. Janice Minor, Dr. Anastasia Christofakis, and Dr. Sarunas Jankauskas. During her time at JMU, she performed with the JMU Concert Band and Symphonic Band, multiple small ensembles, and the Marching Royal Dukes. As a member of the Marching Royal Dukes, Mrs. Piscitelli performed in the 2013 Macy's Thanksgiving Day as well as in Frisco, Texas for the first JMU FCS National Championship Football Game.

She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, Professional Music Fraternity receiving the Sword of Honor in 2017. She is an active member of the  Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education.
