Chair - Andrea Villalba

Work with Mr. Addair to compile student information, order, sort, and collate the end-of-year banquet awards such as class letters, patches, etc. The committee will also order engraved trophies for miscellaneous specialty awards.

Band Aid

Chair - Jerry Slezak

This committee is responsible for organizing this one-time Saturday fundraising event where band members visit local neighborhoods, hand out fliers with LRMB schedules & information and collect donations.


Chair - Marcia Ransom

This committee is responsible for the planning of our annual end of year banquet.  This includes obtaining a venue, lining up a caterer, decorating the venue, and preparing gifts for our graduating seniors all within a set budget.


Chair - Tracy Stone

Work with the vice president to coordinate various aspects of our two Bingo Night events including but not limited to: ordering bingo supplies, sale and record-keeping of bingo books, securing bingo prizes, collecting door prize and raffle prize donations, organizing and staffing volunteer shifts, finding and training a bingo caller and an event announcer, organizing and staffing concessions, supervising set-up and clean-up for this event.


Leads - Shelley Gomez, Monica Widdis, and Sherri Bacon

This committee organizes chaperones for all band trips and events and ensures that all chaperones understand their duties and responsibilities and abide by all school policies and Spotsylvania county volunteer guidelines.

Financial Review

Chair - Jennifer Price

The financial review committee meets quarterly and reviews the financial statements of the organization with the Treasurer in attendance to answer questions and provide clarification. The committee reports findings and recommendations to the board of directors.


Chair - Tracy Stone

The fundraising committee is chaired by the Vice President and oversees various fundraisers (for student accounts and the general fund) throughout the year.

Gift Wrap

Chair - Torin Tuner

The gift wrap committee stocks, sets up, and breaks down the gift wrap booth at the mall as well as oversees the daily operations.

Memory Book

Chair - Christine Harper

The memory book committee takes and/or collects pictures from band events and compiles them in a band memory book funded by the sale of dedication pages.


Chair - TBD

The nominating committee forms in November to recruit a full slate of board officers to be voted on at the February parent meeting.

Pit Crew

Chair - Mike Paquette

The pit crew is responsible for assisting with the fabrication of field props and safely transporting all band equipment from the school to all competitions and events, getting that equipment on and off the performance field, and bringing it back to school after the event.


Chair - Sarah Dornan

The scholarship committee reviews band member scholarship application essays and votes to award scholarships based on merit.


Chair - Mahea Thomas

The sewing committee is newly formed this year to address the alteration and maintenance of marching band uniforms and especially the formal attire worn by Wind Ensemble members.

Variety Show

Chair - Marcia Ransom

The variety show committee plans and organizes the February Variety Show fundraising event.

Yard Sale

Chair - Monica Widdis, Tracy Stone

Coordinate different aspects of the Spring Band Yard Sale fundraiser including but not limited to: volunteer shifts, vendor sales stalls, item donation, item sorting and pricing, parking​, advertising & signage, event day set-up and take-down, etc. Committee will also coordinate with the vice president to run concessions for this event.
